King Hassan from Fate franchise follows most of the story beats from his historical counterpart. King Hassan, also known as the First Hassan, is the original Old Man of the
Mountain and the founder of the Assassin order in the Fate series, particularly Fate/Grand Order. Unlike other Hassans, he manifests as a Saber-class Servant and embodies death
itself, wielding the massive sword Azrael, which delivers instant death to those fated to die. As the Grand Assassin, he exists beyond time-based interference and faces his enemies
with absolute authority rather than stealth. Clad in dark armor with a skull-like visage, he is a solemn, honorable figure who enforces death as part of the world’s natural order. His design blends historical and mythological influences, making him one of the most imposing and revered Servants in the franchise.
